Shooting Stars Sports Club have unveiled Chowdeck as their headline sponsor ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season, adding another major commercial partnership as the Ibadan club prepares for a campaign that will include both domestic and continental football.
The partnership will see the Nigerian food delivery company featured as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor, while Bovas will take the sleeve sponsorship position. Shooting Stars also announced Kelme as their kit partner and Ideas House among their new commercial partners.
The announcement comes after a significant 2025/26 campaign for the Oluyole Warriors. Shooting Stars finished in the top three of the NPFL, earning qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in more than two decades. The club has also appointed experienced Nigerian coach Salisu Yusuf ahead of the new season.
For Chowdeck, the partnership has a strong connection to the club’s home city. Chowdeck co-founder and CEO Femi Aluko said Ibadan is one of the company’s biggest markets and noted the special place Shooting Stars occupy among people in the city.
“I am super pumped about this partnership. Ibadan is one of Chowdeck’s biggest cities, and the Shooting Stars hold a special place in the hearts of people here.”
The deal also adds to Chowdeck’s growing presence in Nigerian football. The company recently brought former Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi on board as a brand ambassador, giving the company another link to the country’s football audience.

For Shooting Stars, the timing is particularly significant. The club will begin its 2026/27 NPFL campaign against Inter Lagos on Friday, 28 August, at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. They will also return to continental competition, with their CAF Confederation Cup campaign beginning against Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in September.
The club’s continental fixtures will, however, be played outside Ibadan, as the Lekan Salami Stadium is not among the Nigerian venues approved to host CAF competition matches. Shooting Stars are scheduled to play the first leg against CS Sfaxien in Abeokuta on 5 September before travelling for the return fixture on 13 September.
The Chowdeck partnership arrives during a broader period of commercial growth for Nigerian club football. The NPFL has also secured a new three-year, $7.5 million title sponsorship agreement with EUROMATCH, with the league saying a significant portion of the proceeds will go directly to participating clubs.
For Shooting Stars, the immediate challenge is now to turn that commercial momentum into progress on the pitch. With a new coach, new partners and continental football ahead, the Oluyole Warriors enter the new season with considerably more to play for.
