svndaypack, the dynamic producer duo of Don Ozi and Enjahn, have released their joint EP, “PAPER AIRPLANES”. The 6-track project brings together svndaypack’s genre fusing approach to alt-African music with DAMItotheWRLD’s emotionally direct songwriting, creating a body of work that moves through romantic confusion and the fragile optimism of trying again.
Developed over two years and recorded between Lagos and Texas, PAPER AIRPLANES is built around a simple but evocative concept:a lover, cut off from direct contact with his former partner, turns to writing messages and folding them into paper airplanes hoping they somehow reach her. Rather than leaning into the maximalist conventions of mainstream Afropop, this project strips the sound back, prioritising atmosphere over spectacle and allowing the writing and vocal performance to stand out. The result is a project that rewards headphones and close listening more than it demands attention.
svndaypack, the duo of Don Ozi and Enjahn, entirely responsible for the production, mixing and mastering across the EP. Over the past six years, the duo have collaborated with Zenesoul, Tim Lyre, AyÜÜ, Rukmani, Noon Dave, WANI and Olayinka Ehi, building a reputation for a sound forged on soul-influenced melodies and Afro-inspired rhythms. The duo are also the founders and central figures of the MXM community – a collective of artists, producers, and collaborators – where svndaypack are quietly building a reputation as producers who think about long-form artist development rather than just individual records. PAPER AIRPLANES is their most fully realised statement to date.
DAMItotheWRLD is a vocalist and songwriter following the ever-familiar pathway from choir boy into the secular music scene. As a former tour backing vocalist, Dami is not new to the game. Painstakingly honing his pen over time, his work is defined by emotional vulnerability and expressive riffs.
The project will be supported by a curated radio takeover on 10PM Radio (Chicago), where the EP will premiere six days after release. The takeover will feature catalogue highlights and exclusive airplay. Beyond this, svndaypack and DAMItotheWRLD will continue building the world around PAPER AIRPLANES through track-by-track storytelling, visual content, and community-led music moments.
